₹18,400 keeps one child in school for a year. Take any part of it.

Pick a figure and we will tell you what it actually buys — the bag, the meals, the days of a teacher’s time. Nothing goes to a fundraising agency; 5.4% of everything we spent last year went on administration, audit included.

1 · How often

Monthly giving is what lets us sign a teacher for a full year. You can stop it from any receipt email, no phone call.

2 · How much
3 · Who to thank

Card, UPI and net banking. Nothing is charged until you confirm on the next screen.

Four things we promise

  1. 1Your receipt in two working daysBy email, with the 80G details already on it. The annual statement follows in April.
  2. 2A name, not a newsletterTwice a year you get one page about the centre nearest your gift — the class, the teacher, the attendance, what went wrong.
  3. 3Stop it from any emailOne link at the bottom of every receipt cancels a monthly gift. Nobody will telephone you.
  4. 4The bad numbers tooThe impact report carries the four things that did not work this year at the same size as the ones that did.

Other ways, if money is not the one you want

Fund a centre
₹22,08,000 a year covers a whole centre — say Eriyur, 156 children and two teachers. Three companies do this already. Write to arul@brightfutures.org.in.
Teach a Saturday
Nine volunteers come out from Chennai each week. You need Tamil, a working phone and one Saturday a month for at least six months.
Give in kind
Notebooks, slates, school bags and mats, delivered to Uthiramerur. We publish what arrived and where it went. We cannot use second-hand computers.
Leave it in a will
Four people have. The trust deed and the bequest wording are on request from the office.
08:15Vikravandi. Class II counting on the floor because the benches have not arrived. They arrived in July, paid for by 61 monthly givers.
2,914

people give every month. The median gift is ₹1,000. We need 1,400 more of them by March 2027 to stop drawing on reserves.
