Class 10–12 Maths · 9 years · CBSE and TN State Board
Anna Nagar, Chennai · travels up to 6 km · also teaches online
I taught Class 10 and 12 Maths at a CBSE school in Anna Nagar for six years before going independent, so I know exactly what the board asks and where students lose marks. The first class is never a lesson. I give a twenty-minute diagnostic and we look at the mistakes together, then we plan.
I teach in English and Tamil, whichever helps the idea land. Parents get a two-line WhatsApp after every class: what we did, what is homework.

Yellow is open. Black is taken by a regular student. Dashed is a slot she does not teach. Home classes run 60 minutes; online 45 or 60.
She noticed I was skipping steps in quadratics before my school teacher did. Went from 61 to 88 in the half-yearly.
Trial class was at 7 pm on a Tuesday. She was at the door at 6:55 with a printed sheet of what she would cover. We booked three months on the spot.
Explains integration like it is a story. Online works fine, she writes on a tablet so we see every step of the working.
Sends a two-line WhatsApp after each class on what was done and what is homework. Only wish she had a Sunday slot.
