A journey through the water column

The deeper you go,
the more you see.

0–200 m / Sunlight zone

Where light becomes life.

Sunlight powers an astonishing web of life. Watch the ocean change as the coast gives way to open water.

200–1,000 m / Twilight zone

A different kind of blue.

Light fades. Life adapts. Discover the daily migrations that connect the surface to the deep.

Beyond 1,000 m / Midnight zone

Darkness is only the beginning.

Remote instruments open a window into a world of remarkable adaptations. Exploration starts with careful observation.

Wonder comes
with responsibility.

Observe with care

Small groups, thoughtful routes and a leave-no-trace approach to every observation.

Learn alongside researchers

Turn curiosity into understanding through field workshops, briefings and shared discoveries.

Bring the story home

Leave with an expedition journal and a new perspective on the water that connects us.

A few things
worth knowing.

Do I need diving experience?+

The concept itineraries focus on vessel-based research and remote observation. Any in-water activities would require an individual suitability review.

Are these expeditions available to book?+

PELAGIC is a fictional travel concept. Routes, durations and observation depths illustrate the experience and are not bookable departures.

What does an expedition day look like?+

A typical concept day combines a morning briefing, guided observation, a field workshop and an evening discussion with the team.
